Mac Haulin' and a Swatchin'

Hi guys! Just a quick post today with my recent splurge on MAC. (Bad Ffion!)

The first things I got were these eye shadows in Wedge, Brule and Copperplate for my palette. I chose these three because they're great everyday colours and they're prettyyyyyy.

Powder Blush in Desert Rose- I chose this one because its very similar to my beloved Empire which was discontinued :(

Studio Finish Concealer in NC20- This has such a nice consistency, goes on really smoothly and is uber pigmented!

Paint Pot in Soft Ochre- I have the Painterly Paint pot already, but because it's quite pink it doesn't look great as a base for all shadows so I got this one as well which is more yellow toned.

Below: Swatchy, swatchy!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! xx

Anna Paquin Comic Con Make Up Tutorial

I was scrolling through my Tumblr dash the other day and saw a couple of pictures of Anna Paquin looking stunning at Comic Con, so thought I'd give her make up a go, so here's the result! (I'm just going to apologize in advance for the not-so-good picture quality, as my mum took my camera and I had already got everything ready for the tutorial so just took the pictures on my iPod. Sorrrrry!)

For The Face:
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
MAC Creme Blush in Something Special

For The Eyes:

Step 1: Apply a light brown shadow all over the lid and a little above the crease (I used Cross Cultural by MAC)

Step 2: Apply a rich, deep brown shadow to the outer two thirds of your lid with a large, dense brush. (I used Coffee Bean by Too Faced)

Step 3: Using that same brown on a smaller brush, apply it along the lower lash line

Step 4: Apply black liner to the upper and lower water line. Curl eyelashes and apply mascara.

For The Lips:
The eyes are quite dramatic so she's left her lips neutral so I just applied some EOS Lip Balm.

Hope you enjoyed this! If you have any requests for make up tutorials, feel free to leave them in the comments! Have a great day! xx

Too Faced Matte Eyeshadow Collection Review and Swatches.

I've always found it quite hard to find a very wearable eye shadow palette as most that say they are 'daytime' or 'neutral' are just packed full of shimmery eye shadows (I'm looking at you Naked palette!) So when I came across this bad boy, I was sold immediately. It has 9 very wearable, matte shades in a convenient little palette. I'd never tried the Too Faced eye shadows before but I'd heard good reviews, so I bought it and hoped for the best.

These eye shadows are the softest, most-pigmented, most-blendable eye shadows I have EVER tried. They are seriously amazing. The palette came with a little tester of the Shadow Insurance which I already have the full size of (Review here. ), so I know I love that. These eye shadow also last really well all day without fading at all. The palette has three categories of eye shadows- Day, Classic and Fashion and comes with little instruction cards as to where to place each eye shadow.

Day- Tufted Suede, Chinchilla and Coffee Bean

Classic- Velveteen Bunny, Pebbles and London Fog

Fashion- Fresh Linen, Vintage Violet and Midnight

My 3 favourites in this palette are probably Vintage Violet, Fresh Linen and Pebbles, but they are all AMAZING!

What do you think of this palette? Have you tried any of their others?

Have a great day! xx

Get To Know Me A 'Lil Better! (Photo heavy!)

The reason I'm writing this post is because I've been writing my blog for a while now, but have never really revealed anything about myself. So here goes..

♥ My name is Ffion, which is Welsh for Foxglove.
♥I was born in a little town in North Wales, UK.
(Below: Me and Make-Up have had a life long relationship haha!)

♥ I'm 17 years old, although I'm not very teenager-y and think with the mind of a little old lady.
♥ I have an older brother who I've always been very close with.
♥ My mum is my role model and my best friend! She's a beauty therapist who has run her own business for maaaany many years. She, also, is a beauty products addict, so we both have no hope of detaining ourselves when it comes to 'Hmm should I buy this? Do I really need this?' as we just encourage each other!

(Below: Top-Photo taken on Plastic Bullet of my Momma and I! Bottom- My mum at the races in a gorgeous Karen Millen dress!)

♥I am a Rocker! I dislike most of the music in the current charts as it suuuucks. I like bands such as Bruce Springsteen, Kiss, Queen, Skid Row, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Velvet Underground, Motley Crue (Also have a slight obsession with Nikki Sixx.), Van Halen, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles I could go on foreeever but I'll stop now, for your sake.

♥I am also very close with my Nanna and Taid (Or Granddad for all you none-Welshies). My Nanna is like my second mum, and my Taid is my music buddie! He too, is a rocker and we talk for hours and hours about anything and everything music. We'll ring each other up and be like 'Have you heard this song?!' and start singing/humming it down the phone!

♥ I am scared petrified of clowns, and pretty damn freaked out by anyone in a mask, or those character suit thingys, yanno like the mascot outfits?

♥ I get bored of my hair VERY easily and it had been every colour you can think of! Blonde, Black, Brown, Red, Purple etc. (See photos below!)

♥ I did well in school and got all my GCSE's. I've just finished a year in Sixth Form and this September I'll be going to college to do Hairdressing.

♥ I ONLY like  EVEN numbers.

♥I love to read, mostly Sci-Fi. A bit of a Twihard and The Hunger Games are my life.

Hope this give you a little more of an insight into my life. Thanks for reading! xx

Summertime Haul (Really though, really?!)

This isn't Summer! Oh my gosh, I now have a lake in my back garden! Some of the things in this haul were bought with summer in mind, but I guess that's kind of pointless now. Anyhoooo, this is what I got (well my momma got me a few of these) :

~ The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cleanse Gel. As I've mentioned before, I'm a bit of a germ-a-phobe and I carry hand sanitizer everywhere with me. So when I saw this Coconut scented one in Body Shop I had to get it because it reminds me of Summer (What is that again?)

~ Beyond Bronze by Fake Bake Bronze Shimmer in Medium. This stuff is sooooo pigmented. It looks really lovely on the skin and I'm pretty sure this would look gorgeous on the eyes too.

~ L'Oreal Mega Volume Collagene 24 HR. Not too impressed with this stuff, full review here.

~ L'oreal True Match Foundation. This is my absolute favourite foundation at the moment, you can see the full review here. I just got this in a shade darker.

~ The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Stain. This is by far the best stain I've ever tried, it lasts for hours and hours and is not drying at all.

~ St Tropez Instant Glow Face Lotion. I love all the St Tropez products for one simple reason-They're not orange! It has a green tinge that creates a natural looking tan rather than an oompa loompa style tan.

Below: The Body Shop Stain and St Tropez Instant Face Glow, swatched and blended below.

Have a great day! xx

L'Oreal Paris Mega Volume Collegene 24H Review

The other day my lovely mother came home with a few goodies for me including this mascara. Now, as I have mentioned before, I am a mascara junkie and looove trying out new ones. I really liked the original Volume Million lashes, the only problem was the massive brush because I always used to hit my eyelid and make a mess of my eye shadow, so I was hoping this one had a slightly better brush. I was wrong. If anything, this brush is worse because it has so much product on it it's REALLY hard not to get it everywhere. As for the final look of this mascara (See Photos Below), it is really black, which I like, and it is really volumizing, but it can get a bit clumpy. I also would have liked a 'lil bit more lengthening power from this mascara. I probably wouldn't repurchase this mascara, but I will use it for the time being as it's not completely awful.

Have a great day! xx
